DescriptionIn this period, Ola Billgren was working with a photorealistic language. His painting was photographic, but he often experimented with perspective and angles that on closer observation create exciting depth. People and interiors came to be his most common subjects and the painting depicts Billgren’s brother in a modern Malmö flat of the period.
Many of Billgren’s paintings of buildings and interiors depicted different parts of Malmö, a city that underwent huge changes during major demolition projects in the 1960s and 1970s.ExhibitionsSamlingen - The Collection, Malmö Konstmuseum, våning 2, 12.06.2021
